Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HASHR (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the iOS app and the pages at cody1.co.uk/apps/hashr.

HASHR is in active development; we may update this policy before App Store release.

Information stored on your device

HASHR keeps gameplay data locally so the app can remember progress and settings. This may include:

  • Puzzle progress, completions, move counts, timers, Classic level, Rush scores and waves, and daily or weekly ranked run state (including whether hints were used).
  • Statistics such as perfect solves, streaks, daily completion markers, and achievement unlocks.
  • Preferences such as sound, background music, haptics, board theme, and daily reminder toggles.

This local data is used to run the game and is not sent to Cody1 servers as a separate account database.

Leaderboards and achievements

Leaderboard rows and achievement progress are computed from local gameplay data on your device. When Apple Game Center is enabled for HASHR in a future release, Apple may process leaderboard submissions under Apple’s privacy terms. Until then, ranks shown in the app reflect your personal results only.

Advertising

HASHR may show a banner ad above the main tab bar and rewarded video ads when you choose extra hints beyond your daily free hint. Ads are provided by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google may process device, advertising, and usage information according to its policies, any consent choices presented in the app (including Google’s UMP flow where applicable), and your iOS advertising settings.

There is no Remove Ads in-app purchase in the current build.

Notifications

If you enable Daily puzzle reminder in Settings, HASHR may schedule a local notification on your device when a new daily board is ready. Notifications are scheduled locally; no Cody1 account is required.

Information the website uses

The marketing, support, and privacy pages are a static site. They do not require an account or contact form. Your browser may send standard request information (such as IP address and user agent) to Cloudflare so the site can be served securely.

How we use information

  • Save progress, settings, streaks, stats, and achievements.
  • Show puzzle feedback, results, leaderboards, and personal bests.
  • Show and measure advertising for banner and optional rewarded hint placements.
  • Send optional local daily reminders you enable.
  • Respond when you contact support.

Third-party services

We do not sell your personal data. Limited data may be processed by:

  • Apple (App Store distribution when released, and Game Center when enabled).
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) (advertising).
  • Cloudflare (website hosting).

Your choices

  • Control sound, music, haptics, board theme, daily reminders, and hints in Settings.
  • Use iOS Settings to manage notification permissions and advertising preferences.
  • Delete the app to remove local game data from your device. Information held by Apple, Google, or Cloudflare is managed through those providers’ controls.

Children

HASHR is intended for a general audience. The app is not designed to collect personal information from children through a Cody1 account system. Third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads have their own practices.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
