I was in Tesco the other day looking for Oxo cubes. I saw beef, chicken, lamb, vegetable and England!
So, I said to the shop assistant, “What is the England?”
And he replied, “It’s new out… it’s the laughing stock!”
Obviously a bit topical with the football, but quite funny nonetheless…
They always ask at the doctor’s reception why you are there and you have to answer in front of others what’s wrong. Sometimes it is embarrassing. There’s nothing worse than a receptionist who insists you tell her what is wrong with you in a room full of other patients. I know most of us have experienced this, and I love the way this old guy handled it.
An 86-year-old man walked into a crowded waiting room and approached the desk…. The receptionist said, ‘Yes sir, what are you seeing the doctor for today?’
Some doctor on the TV this morning said that the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started.
